OBJECTIVE

To manage Authority's financial resources in compliance with Finance Act and other relevant financial standards in order to achieve efficient utilization of the Utility's financial resources

FUNCTIONS OF FINANCE MANAGER

To ensure Authority's financial resources are properly safeguarded and accounted for according to the. relevant Finance Act and other relevant Financial Standards

To coordinate the preparation and implementation of annual budget.

To account for the utilization of Authority's moneys

To ensure preparation of financial reports

To ensure effective management stocks

To coordinate the valuation of Authority's assets

Mobilization of financial resources

To coordinate activities relating to statutory financial audits

To advise Managing Director on financial matters

To receive collections through cash/cheque/electronic

To safeguard Authority's moneys according to Finance Act and Financial

To verify all payment requests to ensure they are properly supported and

Proper banking of all moneys and carrying out bank reconciliation

Custodian of accountable documents (cheque books, receipts Local Purchase Orders)

Receipt and safeguard materials of the Authority

Issue of materials according to the laid down material requisition
procedures

Maintaining stock level and observe reordering levels

To coordinate annual stock taking

Identification of obsolete and redundant materials for disposal
